Documents Needed to Process Your Mortgage Application

To ensure the success of your mortgage application ALL applicants and co-applicants should make a copy of this checklist and provide the required documentation as early as possible in the process.

Confirmation of your employment and income

• Copy of your most recent pay cheque.
• Copy of last Income Tax T-4 slip.
• Revenue Canada Tax Assessment.
• Confirmation of the funds you will be using for your down payment.
• Gift Letter - if any part of your down payment is being "gifted" to you.
• Bank statements for the previous 3 months.
• RRSP Statements.

Selling one home and buying another:

• Survey of the property showing the position of the dwelling on the lot.
• Documentation on the sale of your present home if applicable.
• Municipal Tax Notice/Proof of Payment.
• Copy of current mortgage statement showing balance owing.
• Mortgage renewal agreement.
